The very first image on the landing page of my (relatively new) website is an extreme detail of a watercolor portrait I created a while back of Barack Obama for the cover of Baseline Magazine. Politics are in the air this week - at least on the little TV in the corner of my studio. MSNBC or CNN keep me informed (or annoyed) as we lead up to tomorrow night's Republican Debate and Obama's Jobs Plan Speech on Thursday. Little more than "white noise" as I sit at the drawing board - completing a series of portraits for a new client . My portrait of Obama is below - as it appeared on Baseline Magazine's cover back in '09.
