"TRUE PREP" - Now Available in Paperback!

Last year I took on a really fun assignment - creating illustrations for the book “TruePrep”, written by Lisa Birnbach with Chip Kidd and published by Alfred A. Knopf. This was a sequel of sorts...perhaps more a follow-up to Lisa's hugely successful “The Official Preppy Handbook” from 1980. I am neither proud or ashamed of the fact that I was not exactly well-versed on the "preppy" lifestyle prior to all this (my wardrobe consists mostly of t-shirts with either lots of paint splatters, or my more upscale t-shirts - with fewer). Lisa and Chip were patient hand-holders at first, and once we got into a groove...this was as enjoyable a collaboration as I can remember. "True Prep" was released in hardcover last Fall and spent most of this past year on The New York Times Best Seller List (YAY!). And - it is being released TODAY in paperback...with a brand-new, eye catchin' front cover!!
